exchange seeds at the tool LIbrary, Year-Round!
Open during regular tool library hours (Saturdays 10am-1pm & WEdnesdays 6-8pm)
In response to overwhelming feedback from members and neighbors, in 2020 Green Lents revitalized our Seed Library with donations from Portland Nursery and the community. Growing food and connecting with one another through the pandemic, helping each other and creating the network for a sustainable food system in Lents and SE Portland is our Food Justice goal - for every resident. The Seed Library is an evolving storehouse of Organic and Non-GMO seeds that is free to all, and hopefully will become an ongoing source of heirloom seeds suited for our unique planting zone and climate. What is more sustainable than growing each others' seeds for years and years? |
