The Green Lents Community Tool Library is a collection of tools for lending to neighbors in SE and East Portland. We are fully volunteer operated and passionate about accessibility, community, and skill building.

New Members

Start by filling out the membership form above. To verify your identity and address, bring the following to your first Tool Library visit:

  • A photo ID 

  • Address Verification

    • ​Utility Bill

    • Bank/Credit Card Documents

    • Official Mail

    • PortlandMaps.com listing can verify for homeowners

  •  New Member Donation- sliding $20- $50

We accept electric and manual powered tools. Please email us here to make an appointment or with questions.

Tool Wishlist:

  • Pressure Washer

  • Tamper

  • Orchard Ladder

  • Air Compressor

  • Carpet Stretcher/Kicker

 We accept a limited supply of repairable tools. With the help of a Metro Investments & Innovations Grant, we are improving our repair, recovery, and disposal processes.

We do not accept:

  • Gas powered tools

  • Nickle cadmium (NiCd) or Nickle metal hydride (NiMH) batteries

  • Oversized tools that will not fit in a standard vehicle


Due to limited space, some overstock tools may be sold to support operations. To donate financially, click here!
