Seed Library
Green Lents offers a Seed Library for sharing seeds! The Seed Library is an evolving storehouse of Organic and Non-GMO seeds that is free to all. Our goal is to create an ongoing source of heirloom seeds suited for our unique planting zone and climate.
Choose the seeds you would like to grow and take what you need for your garden. Plant and grow your seeds - check out gardening books and information available at the Seed Library for help with gardening! Harvest seeds from your healthiest and tastiest plants and bring them back for the next growing season!
We accept any organic and non-GMO vegetable, herb, and pollinator flower seeds packaged for the current year. Seeds should be cleaned, dry, and winnowed from husks and chaff.
Fill out a label (available at the library) and enter as much information as possible about the seeds.
Place seeds in our resealable bags (available at the library) or use your own resealable and water-proof bag. Bring seeds to the Tool Library during open hours, and place in the Donation Box at the Seed Library.
Find detailed instructions about seed saving here.
