Xavi has lived in Portland since 2002. He and his wife Angela, a Southeast Portland native, purchased a home in Lents in 2010. Xavi ended a 21 year stretch in bakeries and natural foods kitchens to work for an employee- and grower-owned organic produce distributor in 2008. He was a 2011 recipient of Portland’s Office of Neighborhood Involvement’s Livability Award for his work with the city’s graffiti abatement program. Xavi spends his spare time home brewing, raising heirloom vegetables, and foraging wild edibles in the woods.
